Dash of Salt 014 - My Problem

Daniel 10:12 (NIV)

The Bible Says... “Do not be afraid Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.”

Just a Dash

There have been many times where I’ve made plans for my education, career, finances, and even for Dash of Salt Ministry, and I thought my plans were rock solid. I didn’t anticipate any problems because I had planned everything so carefully. All of a sudden, anything that could have gone wrong…did. My situation was so disastrous that that my only prayer was, “God please fix it, because I can’t”. To my surprise, where I only saw failure and disappointment, God saw opportunity. Before I could even set my mind to pray, God was already moving on my behalf.

I’ve had two separate experiences in the past two weeks where the plans God set in motion for me predated my problems. The first was finding new ways to create and distribute content for Dash of Salt Ministry that would have a greater impact. The second, please don’t judge me, was the return of spicy chicken nuggets at Wendy’s! In both cases, God had dispatched some help for a problem that I didn’t even know I had yet! It’s humbling to learn just how much God cares for you. He cares so much that He makes provisions for us even before we can start making plans.

Think about the last time God had a plan for you before you even had a problem.

Q: How did God’s plan compare to the plans you already had at the time?

Q: How did you feel once you realized that God had been working things out in your favor all along?

As you’re reading, be mindful of Daniel’s actions in the beginning of the chapter and what his state of mind must have been prior to having this vision.
